A I often find myself explaining what the Gestalt Therapy. Although this is a therapy known, recognized and proven, with many people around the world practicing and learning, is still at times (compared with other approaches), a great unknown.
therefore intend in this paper and subsequent approach and bring you my opinion on this type of therapy and even philosophy of life. And do not pretend this is in advance, entertain on theoretical concepts or historical, in addition to not being my specialty is not for me, the most important issue. start from the beginning. Gestalt Therapy is based on three pillars:
Conscience: bone, learn about me and my character, the way I move in the world, my light and my shadow my potential and my shortcomings. Realizing . know and feel closer to what I like and do not like me. Dar space, especially give space to all , understanding that all that is what I am today because of all that has happened in my life. Know and feel (Fundamentalism) my body and the sensations that occur in it. Every emotion produces a form in the body, and this is a gateway to transformation. Be aware of itself, is one of the great tools that can grow to be free and more peaceful in the world . However, honest to say that this is a way of learning that requires time and its cycles. all depends on the degree of commitment or you want to change about yourself and your life.
Present: life only happens at this very moment. Everything else is memories or anticipations. Life always is here and now, and there is nothing more . True, we piggyback a backpack full of experiences and events that have been placed and deepens within us and prevent us from developing fully. In Gestalt work with what you get here and now in relation to that bag. Although sometimes we have to go to memories, to aerate and verbalize them, and especially to let them assume what they felt, to release to allow tender and out of where they are rooted and so, finally, leave room for otherwise.
Disclaimer: understanding that I have in my hands and my potential, full capacity necessary to lead me to where needed. not getting out of my responsibility for what happens to me, on the basis that I can not make others change, but if I can do something to change me.
